On our way

The beginning or an exciting, long, worth while road trip. everyone is still happy.

2013/2014 School starts again

Grades 4, 5, K, 2, and 7. I am so impressed with my our kids as I watch them grow and learn they are amazing to me. But I do wish time would slow just a bit, so that I could enjoys all the simple, seemingly small moments much more to the fullest.
things are going to feel a little strange this year with only two at home. I do enjoy the transitions and the individual time it gives me with each one of our kids. As the next one goes to school and the littler ones still nap, I am able to visit and play with the oldest at home. Much needed time for them and for me.

Back to School family night

We had a fun family home evening the night before school started. We were able to have a good conversation about the qualities they will need in school. We also talked about what it means to be a good friend, and made a time capsule. Such a fun family home evening.
Each one of the kids had their own chalk board place mat with the grade they would be going into,  a loose leaf name tag and a Rollo chocolate pencil.
We ended the evening with testimonies, and Fathers blessings for each of the kids, and great excitement for the upcoming school year. I am so very pleased with each of our kids as I watch them grow, they are amazing to me, and have great potential. I find it impossible to look at our children and not be overwhelmed with the truth, that God Lives, and that he knows us each individually and personally. What a phenomenal creator he is to create such beautiful amazing little ones. I am grateful, truly and fully.

Simple fun

Caught playing in the Wheat. Its amazing how fun the simplest things can be.

Family fun before school

Brennan and some of the kids road bikes down to the river. We don't have enough bikes for our whole family, so the rest of us fallowed behind in the van, all the way down to the river bottom.

This little man has an obsession with rocks, and wishes he could bring all his favorites home.

 Sunglasses
 throwing rocks in the river.
Another favorite.

Swimming lessons

This summer we had five of our kids in swimming lessons all in the same week, so we spent all morning from 8:30 till 11:45 at the pool. We were able to keep the kids entertained with snacks, turns on the ipod once in a while, and the beautiful outdoors.
Jarom, (splasher in the front) and Lyd's, (on the far side) doing lengths.
Edi loved every minute of being out side.

Ellie diving on the far end.
My silly girls walking the risers.

Jarom after his lesson. A little chilly still at 9:30 in the morning.
Kathryn's first swimming lesson. She loved it and did fantastic.
