Oh Christmas Tree

Each year we take the kids out to cut down our Christmas tree. Snow can be so much fun when the sun is shining.

Tobogganing out at Grandma and Pa Orr's house was a new experience for Ammon. He was a little chilly after his wild ride behind the suburban.

But despite the cold everyone had a blast.

Its not the best picture, but I love that her little baby tubby tummy is sticking out. Everything on a baby is cute.

Matthew and Kathryn are determined to have her play with toys. I can't believe my little Abby is three months already. three months, three years, thirty years. It all goes way to fast. Enjoy every moment no matter how small.

Abigail and Gabriel's blessing day.

September 19th Abby and Gabe were given their names and blessings. Abigail was almost named Gabriel, pour Brennan was teased quite a bit. Abigail's beautiful dress was made by her Grandma and Nana in a day, it was pretty amazing. You can't really tell from these pictures, but it is a very beautiful dress. thankyou to my incredible moms, We love you and all your talents and willingness, you are amazing.

Just a little tid bit about our labor story. Contractions started on Friday during Jarom's birthday party, but nothing really steady or strong. We got the birthday taken care of and Jarom was able to have a ton of fun with his buddy during the sleep over. Contractions didn't really pickup and get regular until 3:00 in the afternoon on Saturday. We arrived at the hospital just before 7:00 pm. The nurses moved very fast, thankfully, they said I had "the look". thank goodness for "the look"and the nurse that knows it. Abigail Lynn Orr was born at 7:13 pm she weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and measured 21 1/4 " long. She is perfect of course and everything went really well. We did end up with a little scare, at about 10:30 pm I started to bleed pretty heavy. Brennan was sent out with our new baby in his arms, and watched as nurses went in and out to help me. After all the helping ( felt like abuse ) a nurse took Abigail and told Brennan he needed to "go be with me". I think those words made him panic, He was sure I was dying. I suppose the potential was there, but all is well and we are doing great. By we I mean me. Brennan might take a few years to feel that I am fine and safe. But really we are all doing extremely well. Me, the kids and Brennan.
I have been greatly blessed with a healthy family, an extremely good baby, a husband who was able and willing to take a few weeks off work to help with the adjustments, ( and he was a huge help) and many beautiful gifts and delicious meals. thank you so very much to everyone. we love and appreciate you.

While garage saling Rachel found this beautiful cradle. Its been a wonderful gift, Abby's favorite place. She tolerates the rocking very well.

This is a rare and precious picture. Kathryn hates pictures, and usually covers her face and yells " no way mom". I was shocked and so excited when she said "cheese" instead. Our beautiful little two year old. Happy Birthday my sweet baby girl. We have three birthdays all in a row on the 10,11,& 12Th of July, so we celebrated all together. Princesses, transformers and a pink piggy. twas a lot of fun.

Ammon, Miah, Tim, Brennan, Gracie, and Jarom played tag while we were at the park. It was a lot of fun to watch while the momma's visited with Grandma and pa Seely.

Canada Day!.

We didn't end up doing much on Canada Day, but we did go over to the Fort Museum for a short visit to watch the musical ride. The rest of the day was spent at home relaxing and playing with cousins and family. (The hands off to the side in this picture are Miah's, she's trying to lock them in, but it wouldn't work.)

We tryed to convince all the kids to were the flag as a cape. Grace was the only one willing to style it.

Our family takes a trip to the zoo almost every year. This year was a ton of fun with lots of cousin. The whole gang.

Family Home Evening

There's never a dull moment at the Orr house when it comes to family home evening. We were trying to play twister and it ended in a daddy pileup.
