OH, CHRISTMAS TREE!

Excited Miah with her cute little tree.

Our Christmas tree.! We took the kids out to cut down a tree. A traditions we have had the past few years. However I was extremely cold when we got out there. We sat in the burb with the kids drinking hot chocolate, while our freezing men quickly picked a tree. Its a little charlie brownish, but none the less serves the same purpose and we had just as much fun decorating as we would have if it were a little fuller. Now my house feels Christmasy. I love Christmas trees.!

Santa Claus Parade 2009

In Fort Macleod the Parades have always begin and ended with this man, our town cryer " Here it come folks, the parades a comin, here ye here ye". "there it goes, thats all there is, there aint no more". I must admit, old Mr heart is and always has been my favorite part of the parade. Parades will never be the same when hes gone. some of our frozen little people.

its just my opinion of course, but this has to be one of the most beautiful animals on earth. gotta love the socks.

the Gads of 2009 What is a parade without a marching band

Jarom was so excited that he got to be in the parade this year, on the cub float. It was so cold, they all froze. He has decided that its not so much fun being in the parade.

Matthew's favorite float.

every kids favorite float, ( other than Matthew's) Santa Claus.

Favorites

Some of my favorites from an experimentally fun day. I have come to the conclusion that wanting and moping over things you can't afford helps no one. So I am trying to develop a talent the Lord possibly my have blessed me with. "where there is a will there is a way", right?. Or "practise could possibly make perfect", or something like that.

Irresistible chubby cheeks!.

This was my favorite of Miah.
she's so gorgious.

Kids!!

So my kids were decorating for Halloween today and I told them No!. Its too early to decorate for Halloween, I told them they needed to wait. But, then I left them unattended for a few minutes. I guess that's what I get. However I was a little impressed.

Primary Activity

We had the privilege of helping with a primary activity last Saturday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. The kids did crafts, and then split into groups and went around the Temple to different stations. I am pleased to say I did learn a few things.I love the big trees at the Temple.

Jarom and Addison, best buds.
Beautiful Lydia

This is one of the things that I learned. We were told a story about some pigeons that would sit on the Temple windows and poop all over the temple, they were loud and caused problems at the Temple. They were not aloud to poisen them, So the Temple workers prayed for an answer to the problem. Soon after two owls showed up and scared all the pigeons away. The owls have nested up in the windows, and have never left. They are the temple gards for pigeons. It was cool.

"Eight!"

So my little man is eight. Its very strange to think that my baby is eight. How fast time fly's. Too bad it doesn't slow just a little through all the good, and joyous moments. I am grateful to be able to say I have an overflow of good and joyous memories over the last eight years, and wouldn't trade those years for anything. This day was a joyous memory. I love my little family. I am overwhelmingly pleased with your decision Jarom to be baptised. May you always see the Lords blessings in your life and be filled with the spirit and gratitude you feel today. I love you little man. Always and forever, Mom.

Helpers!

Elizabeth wanted to help, by doing her sisters hair. Its a little off, but not bad for a first try on a wiggly baby early in the morning. Nice work Ellie.

Frst day of school

My kids did not want pictures they were to excited to get to school. So I guess you take what you can get. Jaroms shirt he chose says " HOMEWORK kills trees, help stop the madness." He hates homework. Lyd's didn't care what she wore as long as it was a skirt. This was the best picture I got of Lyd's. She was in a really silly mood.

I asked her to open her eyes and quit squinting.

Mr coolio in his army pants. I had to tell a lame joke to get a smile out of him.

Elizabeth loves flowers. she wondered around with everyone else and quietly picked all the different plants and flowers she could find.

Most of the beach was rocks, except for the small sandy spot where all the little ones played.

Best Buds. Jarom and Addison.

The kids discovered a toad. You should have seen the excitement. Rachel just had to take it home. She was so cute it was hilarious. We all had to convince Tim to let her have it.

More fun at the river.

Miah and Kathryn

Ileigh was posing for her photo.

Brennan and Elizabeth were practicing to catch a fish with there sharpened stick. Each of the kids were taking turns, when it got to Matthew he took the stick and threw it in the river. and there ended the fishing. Ha Ha.
